We will be hosting Namaste Messerschmidt for a course in Syntropic Agriculture here at Gabalah Syntropic Farm, Hopkins Ck, Australia.

The course dates are October 1 – 4.

These four days will be intensive, all day – with both technical information and field work.

This course will cover the essential principals of syntropic agriculture, involving the creation of placenta consortiums (vegetables) and planting of all associated trees and plants.

Techniques on instillation and management will be shared, as we work and learn amongst living and producing syntropic agroforestry

The course will then lead towards more advanced principals as we manage our two year old system. For those wanting to learn more about Syntropic Agriculture, this would be a very good opportunity to see how more advanced systems look, how they are managed and how we move through succession.

It has been about a year and a half since Namaste last visited Gabalah, and since then we have been full time developing this agroforestry. There has been a lot of mistakes and much learned, and there are a lot of trees! We feel that this is a very opportune time for a visit from Namaste, as it will be early spring and some fairly major works will take place as we set up consortiums ready to power into the growing season. These consortiums are based on what we have found works well for our context here in Australia.

All meals will be provided and camping is available. Gabalah is situated in Hopkins Creek, near Murwillumbah in the picturesque Northern Rivers and is a very pleasant place for camping – particularly in spring when the weather is generally very nice. There are also nearby places to stay, catering to all budgets, if camping is not practical.

The cost for the four days, including food is $680

Registration for course bookings are taken by email, please send inquiries to We will then follow up with payment information, a list of what to bring, course schedule and details. We will also be able to answer more specific questions and find out a little more about you, like what diet requirements you have, specific needs etc.

There is a limit of 30 places for this course.

Namaste and his company Simbiose Agroflorestal have formed a partnership with Gabalah Syntropic Farm to help further the spread of agroforestry and to realize growing results. We are both committed to sharing prosperity through positive actions.
